A pause for thought

Harold Pinter: A master of pause

Harold Pinter: A master of pause

So it is (mid-way/ half time°) of my annual January self-rigteousness fest. Where I can treat everyone else with a condescending teetotalling eye.

Today stacking the wine fridge in the ktichen was a bruise on my wounded conscience.

But God, the evenings are long.

Quite tempted to go to Montalcino for Benvenuto Brunello this week; but that would mean drinking and a twenty hour drive (aller-retour). I think I’ll stay home and suffer. The Sienese countryside in January is an endless sea of rolling brown.

Some minutes later…

Having just checked the website. I’ll definitely stay at home – everyone from Montalcino will be in New York, Montalcino’s event is not until Fenruary!
