Screen Abuse

high-resolution-vector-iphone-screen-applefriend.pngAccording to an Irish academic on the BBC’s Today Programme, the average adult looks at their telephone 200 times a day. Assuming the average adult sleeps for eight hours, that means, 12.5 times an hour.

I’d call that a tic.

If I look at mine ten times a day, I’d be surprised. But then my relationship with my phone is an odd one; it is an object I loathe, of occasional necessity but unremitting irritation.

However, my daughters make up the average, and then some.
