Well, who would have believed it? Theresa May’s big opportunity turned into a right big mess, and you can’t even opine that to make a good omelette you have to break a few eggs.
This is scrambled eggs without a truffle in sight.
What is worse is that promised strength and stability has given but weakness and instability; on both sides of the house. Mrs May is inevitably living on borrowed time, and the electorate’s tepid endorsement of Jeremy Corbyn’s 1970’s socialism is equally a mid and long-term disaster.
It is not without irony that the (argued) influence of the “youth vote”in bolstering Labour’s surge has been so important. If said “youth vote” had bothered to get out of bed and vote last year, Britain would not have been in this mess in the first place..
